I also get Gevalia Peruvian Organic , Kona, Jamaica blue,etc . What I've found is that it requires commitment and top quality equipment to make consistently superior coffee. Brew temp is critical 195-205F . Most home drip brewers never reach that temp!. Grind is also critical (never buy pre ground) Exception may be flavored coffee. Get a burr grinder and grind on demand only. Get a COMMERCIAL brewer for the correct brew temp and short brew time ( hear fast brew time low acid) Newco makes a good one . advise the smallest model available to use at home. Use European method Per 6 oz cup 1 std coffee measure 1/8 cup grounds. The secret ingredient is salt (SALT) a small am mt <1/8t.Try putting 1 oz real Maple Syrup in the caraf and then brew your coffee Filtered water also is a must.

Almost everything is better in stainless steel because its not harmful for you like non-stick. If the stainless steel has an aluminum core, even better.
Once you get to know your stainless and your stove, you will know the right temperatures to cook at and your food will not stick/burn. Ive never had a problem with food stuck on that I could not wash off easily, and I use only stainless.
Nonstick should really only be used for a low-heat, quick saute. You dont want to fry at high temperatures or cook for long periods in non-stick.
(There should be more warnings out there about non-stick. Its actually pretty scary stuff.)

Types of steel are one issue. But the quality of steel no matter what type is even more important. The only way to be sure that you are getting a good blade is to buy from someone that already has a reputation for producing great blades. Stop the questions about who thinks what type of steel is best and investigate the steel blades offered by companies like Bugei Trading company. they have good blades. Opinions vary, but Bugei has proven that they make good swords. That is all that is needed to be known. Any questions you have are best directed to them, not here.

Stainless steel is mostly iron which is one of the ferromagnetic metals. So it will attract a magnet. The other ferromagnetic metals are nickel, and cobalt.
Use a q-tip so you only work on the area marked.
Try undiluted:
white vinegar
ammonia
bleach
If none of these work, then try TarnX or silver polish.
Contrary to what many people believe, under certain conditions rust spots will appear on stainless steel due to the passivation layer breaking down.

To repassivate at home:
To passivate stainless steel at home without using a nitric acid bath, you need to clean the surface of all dirt, oils and oxides. The best way to do this is to use an oxalic acid based cleanser, and a non-metallic green scrubby pad. Don't use steel wool, or any metal pad, even stainless steel, because this will actually promote rust. Scour the surface thoroughly and then rinse and dry it with a towel. Leave it alone for a week or two and it will re-passivate itself. You should not have to do this procedure more than once, but it can be repeated as often as necessary.

Several things here:
If you do not put any effort into making the coffee the experience is better.
Dunkin' Donuts has to clean their coffee makers regularly as part of Health Dept requirements. Therefore there will be little in the way of stale taste, leftover grounds in the system, murky water, etc.
Your drip coffee maker at home probably brews coffee that has a weird bitter taste. If so, it needs to be cleaned. Run a pot of water through that has about 1/4 white vinegar. No coffee in this one! Then run straight water. Run the filter holder through the dishwasher. This ought to improve the taste of your coffee. If not, buy a new drip machine. I learned that the best coffee is made with a French press. They are cheap, brew excellent coffee, require no filters, and can be broken down completely and run through the dishwasher.
